What is Tixel?
Tixel is a thermal fractional skin rejuvenation system based on thermomechanical action (TMA) technology. Tixel uses a hot titanium tip that transfers direct heat to the upper dermis. The proprietary tip is made of a biocompatible, temperature-resistant titanium alloy. The tip consists of a series of small pyramids heated to a temperature of 400°C. The tip of the pyramids transfers energy to the skin through very brief, controlled contact. The treatment is almost painless. Pain-relieving creams are usually not required. Healing is fast and downtime is short. Based on thermomechanical ablation (TMA) technology, Tixel affects the target tissue in almost the same way as fractional CO2 and erbium lasers, but with minimal pain and safely without side effects.
