Heltec 2~24S 3A/4A Intelligent Battery Balancing Instrument for NCM/LFP/LTO/2V-4.5V Nominal Voltage Batteries

1. Introduction

This product is suitable for 2-24S lithium batteries (NCM, LFP, LTO, or batteries with a nominal voltage between 2V and 4.5V). The symmetrical voltage is automatically detected as the lowest series voltage. It can automatically detect the number of strings in the battery pack. Alarms are provided for reverse polarity, overvoltage (4.5V), and undervoltage (2V). When balancing is complete, the device automatically stops and emits an alarm. The balancing instrument uses a constant resistance discharge method with a constant resistance of 1 ohm. The maximum balancing current for NCM batteries can reach 4A, and the maximum balancing current for LFP batteries can reach 3A. The single-string battery input interface has a voltage resistance range of -100V to +100V, and the external power supply is 12V 5A.

3. Operating Steps

1. Turn on the instrument.

2. Connect the batteries according to the marking sequence on the instrument or wiring board.

3. Check that the voltage displayed on the screen and the cell numbers listed are correct. If not, double-check the wiring and battery.

4. Start the balancing process and check that the balancing voltage is correct. After balancing is complete, the instrument will stop automatically.

*Note:

There are sequence markings on the wiring board. Please be aware that repeatedly connecting the same pin will create a short circuit and damage the battery and the instrument!

4. Battery Maintenance Steps

1. If there is a faulty battery cell: Replace the cell – fully charged – balance – fully charged

battery maintenance is complete. 2. If there are no faulty battery cells: fully charged – balance – fully charged – battery

maintenance is complete. 3. If a single balancing operation does not achieve the desired effect, it can be repeated several times for better results.

5. Caution

1. Due to the high balancing current, the wires should be thick enough; otherwise,

they may burn out or cause other problems. 2. B refers to the negative terminal of the battery pack, B1 is the first wire from the

negative terminal, and it is forbidden to connect additional batteries during balancing. 3. When balancing, be careful not to touch the battery with the cables.

Disconnected and provides good insulation protection. 4. Please confirm this several times before connecting to the instrument.

6. Packing List

*Note: The green wiring board has changed to black.

Battery Maintenance Steps:

There is a bad battery cell:

1) Replace the battery cell

2) Fully charge

3) Equalize

4) Fully charge

Discharge Method:

Advantages:

1. Do not overcharge the batteries, so you don't have to worry about overcharging issues.

2. The entire equalization process is consistent and the equalization rate is high.

Disadvantages:

Since the equalization method involves discharging the high-voltage string energy until it reaches the lowest voltage... If the tension string is too high, excess energy is wasted.
