User Instructions for Optimal Accuracy:
1. Calibration: Place the device flat on the scanning surface and select the appropriate mode. Do not move it until the green indicator light illuminates (zero calibration complete).
2. Scanning: Hold the device firmly against the wall. Slide it slowly and smoothly to the left or right.
3. Important rule: DO NOT lift the device from the wall and DO NOT move it up or down during a scan. Only lateral (left/right) movement is permitted. Lifting the device resets the calibration and can lead to inaccurate readings.
