UV filters reduce haze and improve contrast by minimizing the amount of ultraviolet (UV) light. Especially useful in areas of high altitude or snow, eliminating the undesirable blue cast.
CPL filters (Circular Polarizer) are great for removing unwanted reflections from non-metallic surfaces such as glass or water. Take richer scenic shots and notice improved clarity in distant objects by cutting through haze and increasing color saturation. This filter is mounted on a rotating frame allowing the user to determine the desired amount of reflection to be removed by simply rotating the filter.
FLD filters allow for shooting under fluorescent lighting. Bring warm natural lighting to rooms that would otherwise be washed out by unappealing fluorescent lights.
These filters are double threaded allowing additional filters to be mounted one over the other.
Filters serve as a great and inexpensive lens protector. Use one at all times to protect your delicate lens from dirt, scratches and accidental damage. Better to scratch or break a UV filter than an expensive lens.
Lens Hood
With the Flower/ Crown/ Petal shape designed, it offers the same prevention of flare as the corresponding circular or rectangular design, but with a smaller size and a lighter weight. With screw mount can be attached to the 58mm lens or filter thread. This can lower the contrast of the image, and enables you to shoot towards the light source, and being reflected inside the lens, without excessive flare. It stops light coming into the lens at extreme angles and being reflected inside the lens. This lens hood is compatible with lens with 58mm filter size from Nikon Canon Sigma Tamron Sony Minolta Olympus and etc.
