How is the timing of each escalation determined?
1. Whether the irradiation dose (time) is increased each time in the continuous treatment, and the proportion of dose (time) increase should be determined according to the treatment frequency and treatment response:
A. If mild erythema occurs after the previous treatment and has resolved at the time of this treatment, the dose or time of the previous irradiation should be increased by 10%.
C. If the erythema is still severe at the time of this treatment and is accompanied by pain or even blisters, the treatment should be suspended.
D. If there is no response to the previous dose, you can increase the dose or time of the previous dose by 20%, e.g., if your initial dose is 30 seconds and there is no response to the treatment after the dose, your second dose is 36 seconds.
2. How to determine the irradiation frequency?
Narrow-band UVB irradiation 3 to 5 times a week.
